Mission Statement;
‘Signature Music will grow to become the one stop shop preferred supplier for Professional Entertainment and Production Services in the Pilbara Region’

My name is James Cutfield and I own and run Signature Music, based in Karratha, Western Australia. I guess you could say that this business is my baby, and we’re growing together. I have lived in Karratha since I started high school in 1992. I love music and I’m really happy that I’ve been able to turn it into my career, in the place I want to live.

I started my business as a sole trader in April 2008 by quitting my day job and buying a modest sound system. Back then I was hoping to earn a living doing something I love and contribute to the growth of entertainment, particularly live music, in the regional area known as the Pilbara, known to me as home.

Since then I have worked with countless local and touring artists, supplying everything from the drum kit and guitar amps to the sound system and stage lighting, I have also assisted many venues, community organisations and corporate clients with their event production requirements.

I have travelled all over the Pilbara several times over, supplying production in Karratha, Dampier, Roebourne, Point Samson, Cossack, Wickham, Newman, Tom Price, Port Hedland, Marble Bar and Onslow and various remote work camps. Events range from Live Music at the Pub to the local annual community festival to corporate events and everything in between.

I enjoy performing regularly and it complements the production work I do. I perform both solo and with other local musicians at several venues around Karratha and also nearby mining construction camps.I also act as a booking agent for local events and artists by becoming the link between event organisers and local performers.

It is my goal to continue growing my business in order to facilitate the production of bigger and better events to be enjoyed by my community. I plan on staying in Karratha for many years to come and hope to see you at a live music venue somewhere in the Pilbara soon!
